From Capcom :In Lost Planet, human snow pirates navigate VS (Vital Suits) through hostile ice-covered environments, fighting against the indigenous Akrid creatures for the precious thermal energy they need to survive. For one such pilot named Wayne, death almost seemed imminent until he was fortunately rescued. However, he can only remember a few fragments of his past including the slaying of his father by the monstrous beings. Yet under the veil of ice, a devious plot has been set into motion by NEVEC. What really happened to Wayne and how will his destiny become intertwined with NEVEC's plans?
This is the DirectX 9 version of the Lost Planet single-player demo, which includes two playable missions--attack an Akrid hive, or assault an ice pirate fortress.

Pros: nothing
Cons: you are able to download it, but... it's missing a file or a file is corrupt. I even went to the website and downloaded it directly from there. You can't play the game. don't bother downloading it.

Pros: None - download didn't work
Cons: Download file was only 163 or so MB, not the 363 it says it should be. And for whatever reason, DSL connection only getting dl speeds of around 20 kps, so I'm not bothering to try again.

"welcome to the new generation in shooters!"
Pros: lost planet uses all the graphic power todays cards have avalible,however you need a mid to high end card to play this demo
i used a nvidia geforce 7600gt and managed to get 55 f.p.s on high settings,and resolution of 1024x768
the demo has a performance test which will benchmark your p.c,and give you average frame rates ect,and you can then configure the settings for optimal performance
the demo i played was the direct x 9 version,so i can only imagine how the direct x 10 version performs
gameplay is good with easy control system and excellent weapons,i cant wait to play the full game
great game..give it a go
note:some users may receive a error to do with a missing dll,,,this is fixed by downloading the latest direct x runtime files from microsoft.com
Cons: it leaves p.c,s with onboard video and low end cards(geforce 4,fx/ati radeon 9250/9550)unable to play this...time for a upgrade!
