Though this is a useful program for organizing unruly Web bookmarks, it's hard to tell whether it truly has better tricks up its sleeve than a standard browser. Once you've launched Link Commander, you can synchronize all your bookmarks with it. You can open links either through the program's built-in browser or your own browser window. Editing options include changing the link name, checking to see if the link is still live, and reorganizing groups of links. The main program screen contains two windows, one for the bookmark tree and the other for Web pages, which can be swapped as you prefer. The most unique feature, however, is a password option that can keep sensitive Web page links private. Aside from that, Link Commander doesn't do anything else extraordinary that your average browser can't do, but it still seems worth trying.

Link Commander is a browser independent bookmark organizer, that allows you to maintain and manage your favorites bookmarks. It comes with a built in browser display, and can also be configured to use Internet Explorer or a different browser to launch your bookmarks. Version 4.2.0.1009 adds Netscape 9.0 support, improves AOL Browser support and user interface.
