This application hides and closes open windows with a hot-key combo, but we found that it isn't always reliable. La Boss Key's small, functional interface is accessible through the system-tray icon. It can change the screen resolution and hide the desktop wallpaper, icons, and taskbar.
The program shows a list of all running programs and lets you create a whitelist and blacklist of applications; simply add the program on the preferred list or drag the tool probe over to the window you'd like to add. For increased stealth, you can also hide or rearrange tray icons on the system tray.
After pressing the boss key, La Boss Key was able to hide applications and windows, but it failed to hide all of the tray icons during our assessment. We also found the 10-day trial period too short for our tastes. Despite some issues, this is a worthwhile program for keeping nosy onlookers in the dark.
