We were pleasantly surprised by the wealth of features in this suite of office tools. KmAnywhere 2005 Pro includes several modules, among them a multitab Web browser, a basic word processor, a spreadsheet, a to-do list, a contacts organizer, and a PDF creator. They can't compete with their commercial counterparts, but they'll do for simple documents. Integration is the suite's greatest strength. Open modules appear within the main application window, which works as a second desktop, with its own Start button and taskbar. It's a tidy way to encapsulate your work. Compatibility, however, is the big weakness. The word processor can't read Microsoft Word documents, and the spreadsheet offers limited support for Excel (the program crashed when opening a large spreadsheet), though it saves files in XLS format. That will probably discourage business users. However, if compatibility is not an issue, and you don't need a full-blown office package, KmAnywhere 2005 Pro is a worthy alternative.

Build 04.04 adds open last visited URLs feature to browser module and fixes a bug about send message.
