To minimize the use of system resources Kiwi Alpha does not include a lame browser, a built-in player, or a chat room. That's why Kiwi Alpha performs great even on older systems. On the other hand, Kiwi Alpha features a handy play list, advanced search filters, and some nice options for fine-tuning the performance.
Version 2.2.4 updates the Gnutella 2 (G2) protocol handler and shares with more P2P networks.

"Includes crap from WhenUSave"
Pros: Not too many.
Cons: Included non-opt-outable WhenUSave spyware crap in the installer. Im surprised Download.com still lists this crap.

"Better than LimeWire, that's for sure."
Pros: Kiwi Alpha was also one of the many programs I was loyal too. It had faster download speeds and connected to many protocols. Not only that, this was a breeze to use.
Cons: The interface is too simple and will seem confusing. It didn't have many features so that was a big letdown.

Pros: It works just fine and the quality of the (music)downloads is very good! I think nothing is wrong with the layout, it's pretty nice. Billy Jean, I just downloaded, sounds superbe!
Cons: You do not have the opportunity to choose directories for downloading to and uploading from.
