From Christofer Persson :Kantaris can play almost anything you can throw at it: AVI (DivX, Xvid, H264), MPEG, MGEG-AVC, WMV, MOV, MKV, FLV, MP3, WMA, and OGG files. Kantaris can also play DVD and audio CD. The player also displays beautiful visualizations for music. Kantaris is an all new media player based on code from VideoLan Client (VLC) and Bass audio library. Kantaris has a graphical user interface that is similar with Windows Media Player.
Version 0.5.8 fixes problem with Kantaris crashing if start up directory is write protected and various problems with the video library feature.

Pros: Nice look on GUI
Cons: Tried to take over
Summary: 1. This media player was forever accessing the internet, causing me to have to tell my PC Tools firewall to cool it.
2. It lacked media tools...no equalizer etc. for audio.

"Will not completely uninstall."
Pros: Media player was okay. Nothing special.
Cons: Didn't do what I needed it to do. Even though I uninstalled it and have no trace of it whatsoever on my computer, all of my media files are still categorized as Kantaris files. That's annoying.
