CNET Editors' review
This system-tray application notifies you as e-mails arrive in your POP3 box, but it needs an autoreply feature. Right-clicking JetMailMonitor's system-tray icon brings up the configuration menu, and the wealth of features are easy to figure out. Novice users might need to check out the separately installed manual, though. Users can easily add multiple POP3 e-mail accounts and set it to check all accounts on demand or at regular intervals. It would be difficult to miss a notification, which consists of a dialog box, a launch of your default e-mail client, sounds, blinking keyboard LED, or everything at once. JetMailMonitor quickly retrieves the headers of new e-mails and calls your default mail reader. It would be great if the program included autoresponse as part of its rule set. JetMailMonitor is easy to use, works well, and is free of charge. We have no problem recommending it to anyone with multiple e-mail accounts.Publisher's Description
From COWON America:
JetMailMonitor is a system tray application that can notify you immediately when new messages arrive on your POP3 mail server, but without your having to keep an e-mail program always running. It supports up to 10 e-mail accounts and features a configurable polling cycle. Notification options include displaying the number of new messages via an icon in the system tray, playing a user-specified WAV file, showing a message box, or launching your e-mail program. JetMailMonitor supports Exchange, Netscape, Internet Mail, Outlook, and Outlook Express e-mail clients by default and allows you to register other e-mail programs as well. E-mail clients can be launched on arrival of new mail or by double-clicking the JetMailMonitor icon in the system tray.
Version 6.2.0.4929 supports new features, including functions such as TimeSync, Spam Mail Check, and Preview Message.

"This utility gets an "A"!"
Version: JetMailMonitor 6.2.0.4929
Pros
Works exactly as advertised. The important features are there, but no fluff.
Cons
Haven't tried it on Exchange yet, but no problems on my personal Outlook account as of yet.

"Sleek but lacks reader"
Version: JetMailMonitor 6.2.0.4929
Pros
It's lightweight
Cons
Unlike ePrompter you this doesn't have a reader or reply. To do either you have to open your client, which, for me, defeats the purpose.

"Non-intrusive, small, and functional."
Version: JetMailMonitor 6.2.0.4929
Pros
Nice interface. Leaves messages on server. Customizable. It does exactly what it says it will do.
Cons
It'd be nice if the message window would be a smaller pop-up next to the tray icon, but otherwise it's a great utility.

"Good program, lacks important features"
Version: JetMailMonitor 6.2.0.4929
Pros
Good at notification which it does well.
Cons
From what I can tell, lacks a way to view a list of emails that you are being notified about. This was a huge turnoff for me. Try PopTray instead.

"Best Ever"
Version: JetMailMonitor 6.2.0.4929
Pros
I've tried several pop3 monitors and this one is simply the best. A dozen or so keywords in the filter and most of your junk mail gets deleted at the server.

"Best Program Ever"
Version: JetMailMonitor 6.2.0.4929
Summary
I have been using this software now for 4 years and I am extremly satisfied with it. It keeps my clock, which is slow, up to date and it is on top of all of my email accounts. Only thing it can't do is HTTP E-mail, but otherwise, this is the best program out there on the net by far.

"Best Pop 3 Email Checker"
Version: JetMailMonitor 6.2.0.4929
Summary
I have tried sever POP3 programs and in the past loved LetterBox by ultima-thule. There program is no longer freeware and I have stopped searching here. This program is just as good if not better. It is simple to use and lets you choose an audible alert, what program to start on new mail, intervals to check in minutes, etc. etc. A+ freeware. Try it now
