Buy it. "Itsy Tipsy is a new idea that's not a reworking of an old game nor a combination of older games (not that I'm aware of, at least--correct me if I'm wrong). Itsy Tipsy is a loud, colorful, fast, and habit-forming action game based on serving drinks to customers at a bar. The concept is that you're a spider serving insects to your customers. To satisfy your boss, you'll need to get the right drinks (sorry, I prefer to think of them as beverages instead of bugs) to the right customers and collect their money in rapid-fire efficiency to avoid getting fired. The mechanics of the game are pretty simple, but thanks to good design, involves lots of tricky maneuvering and careful attention. The "bar" itself is actually a spider web configured like a grid. As soon as a customer approaches the bar, your job is to get the right color-coded drink to them immediately (their desired drink is indicated by a colored dot on the bar). The drinks appear randomly on the Web, and the challenge is in getting the drink to the customer without bumping into the wrong drink along the way (drinks automatically go to customers when you touch them). You'll also need to collect the money, which can appear almost anywhere on the Web. As you might expect, customers approach at a faster pace as you get further into the game. If you make too many mistakes, you'll get fired. If you can forgive the game for having little in common with what actually happens at a bar and for its strange setup, it's a heck of a lot of fun. The background (or the "floor" of the bar) is a non-stop psychedelic show of alternating colors, while the audio is what you'd expect to hear in a bar or nightclub (or at least as close as you can get on a Smartphone). The game plays very well overall and is a good companion to games like Bejeweled and Tetris without being an obvious derivative of either. It manages to look very good graphically, despite the rather low resolution of current Smartphone devices. Since games tend to be very short, a round of Itsy Tipsy can be an enjoyable (if rather loud and flashy) way to kill a few minutes of time. I hope the developer will consider making a Pocket PC version.
