"IE makes me want to vomit."
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
You must be joking, right?
I gave it one star only because giving it zero isn't an option.
Cons
Where should I start?
IE nearly ruined my computer. I lived in student housing on a college campus, and got hacked so many times it wasn't even funny. Asked a friend of mine who was a computer science major what the problem might be. He looked all over and through my computer, and determined that IE had holes, and that was where the problem was coming from. I did a clean install, then downloaded Opera, and guess what? No problems after that. When I got my new laptop, I opened IE ONLY to go to Opera's website and download it. IE now sits at the far back of my computer, collecting dust.
Microsoft should be ashamed.
What kills me are the people on here saying, "I've never used anything BUT IE, and I've never had a problem", or "I'm going to STAND BY Internet Explorer."
Tell me-what about a browser inspires loyalty? I have no loyalty to Opera-if a browser came out that was faster and safer, I'd switch to it immediately. I get the impression that these IE defenders are mostly middle-aged computer novices who have no idea about registry keys, trojan horses, and worms. Do us a favor, guys, and come back when you have a little more computer knowledge than, "Yippee, I took my computer out of the box ALL BY MYSELF and didn't even have to call tech support or my computer savvy teenager!"

"SP1? Avoid."
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
You can update Windows by using this browser. And it should work with 99% of websites on the world-wide-web.
Cons
IE6 with SP1 is horrible. SP1 includes Microsoft's Java Machine, which has several exploits. IE6 with SP1 has no pop-up blocker (assuming no add-ons have been downloaded), and no download-installation warning.
If you have to get IE6, get SP2. SP2 removes the MS Java Machine, and will add a pop-up blocker and a download-installation warning to IE6. Again, if you can't get IE6 with SP2, then avoid this completely. SP2 is far more secure than SP1.

"Insecure browser, slow browser."
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
It has ActiveX controls, opens special links that this browser can only access.
Cons
Horribly slow, lacks security(this browser makes you a target for malwares), crashes moderately, can't be customized like Firefox.

"AUN NO LO HE PROBADO"
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
EL PRODUCTO ES ACCESIBLE PARA TODOS DE FORMA GRATUITA. SIN EMBARGO, AUN NO LO HE PROBADO PARA EMITIR UNA OPINION.
Cons
AUN NO PUEDO EMITIR OPINION, YA QUE NO LO HE PROBADO. THANKS...

"Whats Wrong With It?"
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
I see alot of bad reviews but i have used IE for the last 5 years and havent had a problem. I havent tried FireFox or Orpha and i dont plan on doing so because IE is the only browser for me.
Cons
Yes it has its problems but all pages are supported by IE unlike with Firefox.

"It makes me want to just throw my computer out the window!"
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
Oh! God. there is NOTHING good about IE6!!!
Cons
My dear loard. i don't even know how Microsoft was capable of making such a ******** product. I think Microsft's hiring monkeys to do their dirty work cuz DANG! it look like monkeys made IE6. It's just a monstasity like my spelling. oh god, IE6 is like a computer virus. it breaks my heart when i have to use it for those stupid websights but dang. this is more then a failer. it look like it was thrown on the ground, farted, eaten and simply got crused my sumo Bill Gates then by a despret attemp to release it he threw it out in its rotten way it is still at to this day. Man IE6 make me want to take a slug hammer, crush my computer into peiaces and threw it out the window!F*** YOU IE6!!!!!!! HEAK!! IT MAKE ME WANT TO JUMP OUT THE WINDOW MYSELF!!!

"One of the worse technical blunders of all time..."
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
Can use to download windows updates and listen to Yahoo! LAUNCHcast.
Cons
Sucks. Tried IE 7 Beta 2, also sucks. Did you know they want you to pay for extensions, which the firefox community offers for free? Rediculous. Made PCWorld.com's list of the Worst tech products ever. IE will only continue to be useful as long as website developers refuse to conform to W3C standards and continue to write "IE-only" code. I strongly recommend that all IE shortcuts be removed from your machine (as you can't delete IE) and you instead run Firefox.

"You Should Never Use Internet Explorer"
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
Some sites require Internet Explorer, forcing you to use it.
Cons
Intigration with Windows, along with its infamous ActiveX Controls, clunky performance, and horrible susceptibility to spyware, viruses, and other malware; makes Internet Explorer the last choice when looking for a way to surf the internet. Other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox or Opera are much better, more secure, and most of all easier to use.
I have downloaded many things from Download.com, but Internet Explorer has got to be the worst thing that I have experienced. Funny how it comes with Windows.

"Adds to Internet explorer's bloat with no appreciable benefits"
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
How wonderful, a service pack larger than Opera and Firefox combined. After you install it you still have a bloated, insecure, feature poor, slow and obsolete browser.
Cons
Adds to the hard drive space already wasted by IE. Microsoft should charge extra for a version of windows without IE. I'm sure it would be hugely popular.

"Does it do anything special?"
Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Pros
I guess the good thing is that it still works likes IE.
Cons
I am not sure if this does anything special. Nothing seems anymore secure. I am not sure if "added features" is supposed to be part of this(as some reviewers commented on), but in any case, it doesn't have any.
