It integrates into Opera, Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Firefox, MSN, AOL, and into any application that uses FTP, or HTTP protocols. Internet Download Manager fully supports Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7.

I have been using IDM for many years. It has always been one of the first to be loaded on new OS installs. And given that they haven´t charged more for upgrades over the years, this is probably my best software buy ever.
The support is very good, prompt responses and excellent backup support. Updates over the years were continuously improving this software, now they come rarely.
I doubt that anyone will regret buying this software.

Fastest DLM there is. It uses multiple ports to speed up the download.
You can specify where you want the download to go:
i.e. Desktop, Documents or Special Folder just once or from now until redirected.
It keeps tract of all your downloads so if it's interrupted you can continue, or if it is lost you can find it.
You can use your 'CTRL' or 'ALT' keys to force take over or allow site to manage download or list not to download from a specified site.
Use your antivirus to automatically scan your downloads.
And the list goes on. Happy downloading!
