It speeds up downloads a lot. It's also great for resuming broken downloads. I like the ability to shut down the PC automatically after the download(s) are finished as it means you dont have to sit and wait untill a large file is downloaded to manually turn off the PC. I've often left files over 400mb downloading before I went to bed and didnt have to worry about the PC being left on all night wasting electricity. The site manager and download scheduler are handy too. There are regular updates and its improving all the time.
Cons
I've found that since getting Windows Vista it doesnt intercept all downloads and I have to either click on the link and select copy shortcut which may automatically launch IDA or else I have to open the program myself and click on add download (althogh it is handy that when you do click on add download the link that is in the clipboard automatically appears there).
