  "Pure Serendipity!"

  Pros: Anyone who tries to keep their desktop clean probably doesn't for long as things get messy fast. I was using Desksweeper to hide my icons and Iconsaver to save my icon positions. I was thinking "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if there was a program that would auto hide my desktop icons" so that I wouldn't have to click on a tray icon everytime I wanted to hide/show them.

  So I searched Google not really expecting to find anything and stumbled apon Iconoid...and so much more! It is incredibly configurable with a large array of options. You can save your icon positions or auto arrange them according to the programs built in presets. What a great find. This program is a keeper. I can't believe it's free.

  Cons: Doesn't come standard with windows! ;)

  "THE ULTIMATE DISAPEARING ACT FOR YOUR PC!!!"

  Pros: I can't say enough about this application!!! If you ever wanted to hide your icons (amongst other things) from prying eyes, or just want to see more of that fantastic desktop pic you have loaded, "THIS IS THE APP YOU NEED"!!! I've been looking for something like this for a looong time. Thankyou Dwnld-com for bringing it to my attention through the 'Dwnld Dispatch' news email.

  And most of all, "THANK YOU 'SILLYSOFT'" for produceing such a fine application for those of us that are security concious (or just plain paranoid)! Folks, you don't know what your missing if you don't dwnld this NOW! The options and settings/configuation are extensive! Beyond what I'd hoped for when I dwnldd this! If you need a quick way to hide say, your financial app, from the kids or whom ever walks in the room, you've got to try this!

  It can minimize every app window you have up at the moment to the task bar and produce your desktop in a second... literaly, by just moveing the cursor to a choosen corner of your screen! I use Win XP and this app runs just fine. After a little configureing (Iconoid), I got it just the way I want it! This is the one you've been looking for! Don't pass it up! Dwnld it now!!!

  Pros: Easy to use.I have seen my wallpaper for

  the first time in ten years.I

  have 100

  Icons.I set it for 20 seconds and leave

  my taskbar on the desk top for my clock.

  "Works great! Just wanted to remove my icons when idle."

  Pros: Just wanted a program that would hide my desktop icons when idle. Icons disappear after 5 seconds [or however long you like, you can adjust time easily], and come back when you move the mouse. GREAT FREEWARE!

  Cons: None so far.

  "Waste of time!"

  Pros: it's amusing for about 15 minutes.

  Cons: Not much. Had a couple so-so features, but mainly just a waste and it seems a little buggy also. Nice try though. If you got 20 mins and you're bored, give it a shot.
