If you plan to distribute commercial software, or even just want to customize your desktop, you might want to start creating your own icons. This tool provides all the basic capabilities needed to get started with that task, allowing users to draw an icon, animated GIF, or cursor from scratch, or create icons from any image file. It also offers a screen-capture feature that can quickly create an icon from whatever is on the computer screen. The interface is well-designed and easy to use, but in our tests we found the otherwise-useful program marred by a series of bugs. These included error messages received when inserting letters into icons, and when saving and testing icons. Overall, IconCool Studio offers a slick, well-designed set of features, but the buggy performance may deter many users.Publisher's description

Version: IconCool Studio 5.26 build 80108
Pros: Pro: The program worked just as it said it would. It converted files fast and extremely easy & simple. I only rated it a three, because IconCool will not update my registration code or respond to my emails.
Cons: Con: You have to turn off your firewall to be able to register. I then upgraded to the next version which was supposed to be free, but now my registration code will not work with it. IconCool has not responded to emails.
