Version: IVM Telephone Answering Attendant 4.03
Pros: Web acces to your messages works really well and is very hand, I found it to be very stable when running Windows XP. Very handy for the office. Lots of good features!
Cons: This program does not run very well in Vista, problem could have been the program it self or Vista.

Version: IVM Telephone Answering Attendant 4.03
"Good software - LOUSY company"
Pros: Having tried half a dozen programs like this one I can say that IVM is one of the better ones. Its Help files leave a bit to be desired but the overall functionality of the app is better than most. Unfortunately, the company that offers it - NCH Swift Sound - is another matter entirely.
Cons: An Australia based comapny, NCH - which does not appear to subscribe to Verisign - offers a discounted price of $19.90 USD when you d/l the app and states that the price is good until a certain date (in my case I d/l'ed the software on 9/11 and the price was good until 9/15). However when I tried to purchase the program the next day it had jumped to $28 USD (still good until 9/15 when it would increase to $36 USD). I contacted the comany by email and their response read: The prices displayed on our website are dependent on cookies, the age of the cookies determines the discount displayed, we only charge what is displayed on the page at the time of purchase." Nice, eh? Additionally, though they quote a price in US Dollars they actually CHARGE Australian dollars - which at the current exchange rate means a price increase of about 20% (gotta read the fine, fine print). Given these sales practices --- do they really think I'm going to trust them with my credit card number?
