Manage updates with the Download AppCNET Editors' review
IE7 Pro adds a lot of showmanship to the Internet Explorer browser. The freeware add-on has some smart solutions for tabbing, including default settings to open URLs in new tabs and let double-clicking close a tab down.
Here's another pleasant surprise: "dragging" and "dropping" an in-text link into white space opens the link in a new tabs without any mouse work. IE7Pro also borrows from several software concepts to help raise IE7's appeal, including Firefox's, to save and fill forms, and insert user scripts a la Greasemonkey. The MiniDM download manager adds a long-missing tool to IE's options, and the pre-fetching options makes IE much lighter on its feet.
The list of added features is long, but they're all accessible from a status bar icon that the program installs for you. Right-click on it to get access to mouse gestures, customizable hotkeys, and more. Highly recommended.

"The Best IE"

It has all the options you could want

Some say it's not as secure as IE8 or as fast but I don't agree
Summary
I've tried IE8 a couple of times but when you want to get some add ons or find your preferences it's too much work in IE7 Pro it's all laid out nice and easy

No idea. I uninstalled when the only feature I wanted didn't work
Cons
The ad blocking feature has a list of default filters already installed, but they don't seem to block any current ad generating sites. User added filters don't work, even though correct syntax is used.

Underlines incorrectly spelled words on the fly (like MS Word spell check). Free

Bundled with other software that can't be disabled in free version, miniDM (download manager); also takes over some other aspects of IE, such as 404 error.
Summary
I wanted a simple program that would underline the words I mispelled so I could fix them individually. I like IE's other functions and didn't want IE7Pro to take over. I prefer the standard 404 error screen, I prefer not having a download manager.
These are all things that you would be able to turn off if you purchased a full version of this product. However, with the free version, it is all or nothing. It also has adds on the 404 error page, which I don't want. Maybe I expect too much for my freeware, but that is just how I am I guess -

I can now surf the internet and my favorite sites w/o the hassle of rolling/scrolling/blinking/talking annoying ads. EASY to install. EASY to change settings and/or disable unnecessary features.
Cons
It did try to push additional downloads w/ its install; and added a few features I wasn't interested in.
Summary
Works. I was beginning to despair of the internet completely. It doesn't block all types of ads, but I will settle for 90% of the ads being blocked.

Imagine you've the power of Firefox adblocker in IE. That's exactly what IE7 purpose was. This was initially IEpro and later changed to IE7pro. Now the last update from developer is they are working to update and change it back to IEpro.
Anyway coming to the point, hope the IEpro team can deliver a new version sooner. -

It gives me the IP address of the site I am on this can be useful information. I like the mini-download manager and the ease of use/ It still works with IE8.
