From SmartySoft Studio :HostScan is the very powerful network scanner software, includes IP scanner, port scanner and network service scanner. IP scanner can scan the IP Addresses which range you can define by yourself(0.0.0.0) to (255.255.255.255) to find out the network computer which is running well; port scanner can scan the IP Address's port (from 1 to 65535) to find out the port which is opened, analysing the opened port, you will know if someone leave over a "Back Door" on your computer; network service scanner can scan the opened port to find which network service is running, such as, Http Service is always run at Port 80. After it finish, HostScan will give you a full, elaborate report. HostScan is steady-going and exact; it will adjust the scan waiting time basing upon the network instance; HostScan is very useful to LAN user.

Pros: The software seemed to be effective. All up to the point my virus software found a trojan in the exe file!
Cons: I would hope that a site such as this would scan its software. dope !
