As its name suggests, this application claims to thwart home-page hijackers from changing your start page, but its claims went unsupported in our tests. In addition to the fact that the program severely lacks the features of similar programs, it fails to perform its chief function. Homepage Hijack Protector lets you change and set your home page with a simple interface. Unfortunately, the program didn't actually change our home page to the new URL we entered during testing, nor did it stop any other sites from applying themselves as our new home page. Given this freeware's lack of features and poor performance, users will definitely want to bypass it.Publisher's description

Version: Homepage Hijack Protector 2
Pros: None
Cons: It changed my homepage to their own search engine. I have Spyboy and WinPatrol, among other protection and was baffled by the reciliency of this malware. It kept resetting their homepage time after time until I discovered a program called Yumgo's Homepage Protector V2. Thats exactly what it does, it protects its own page from being removed. Such corrupt people, included their staff who reviewed the program here possitively. STAY AWAY!!!

Version: Homepage Hijack Protector 2
Pros: It DID change my homepage - but to its own. I finally was able to get it to change to google AFTER I ininstalled it. And yes, I did go to Start > Yumgo > Homepage protector.
Cons: It wouldn't let me change it from yumgo. It didn't matter what I set it to, Yumgo was the page that came up. AND as soon as I got to Google, they had a clear popup that came up over the search button. Sneaky people.

Version: Homepage Hijack Protector 2
Pros: It gets rid of the pathetic hijackers straightaway, no messing. This is the dogs bol*ocks.
Cons: Once it's installed it creates itself as your home page. You think that it has hijacked your homepage too - it hasn't. Just go into start > programs > yumgos homepage protector. You can then select any homepage of your choice. These guys are no con artists. If i could i'd make a contribution.

Version: Homepage Hijack Protector 2
"A blessing for the non technical"
Pros: After reading Weparicua review I was a little sceptical, but after looking a bit closer I noticed that this little gem requires a restart b4 it works. You also have to tell is what page to protect as your homepage. I'm not technical and after trying various other products which require you to produce logs and send them onto user groups on the internet, I was pleased to see Yumgo's Hijack Homepage protector do the job.
Cons: Must specify which homepage to protect via start ... programs...yumgo.. etc. If you do not do this, even changing the homepage via i.e would work. I guess this is also it's strong point.
