Publisher's description of HiVisGnome Jumbo
From Ed Hume:HiVisGnome Jumbo is part of the Access Firefox project. It is designed for people who have problems seeing normal-size icons and text. It has colorful large icons against a white background, with extralarge text.
The SphereGnome themes have menu icons and little surprises that jump out when you click on disabled icons. The FormalGnome themes are more formal, more suitable for a business environment, and put less of a processing load on your computer. HiVisGnome themes are similar to FormalGnome themes but have a white background and icons that have been tweaked to provide a greater contrast.
All three theme families come in Normal, Big, and Jumbo sizes. The Big and Jumbo themes are aimed at smaller screens with relatively high resolutions.
Right-click to get drop-down menus for Back/Forward buttons.
Version 2.2 fixes some small bugs and makes the theme compatible with the current "trunk" builds.

While it makes the Firefox interface more accessible to those who are visually impaired, this freeware add-on doesn't have any tools to help with the pages.
HiVisGnome Jumbo doesn't change Firefox's layout. All of its features are still in the same spot. Instead, you'll find that it replaces Firefox's current navigational buttons with large icons. The text is also enlarged for better readability. There's a lot of color going on in the toolbar. It would have been better if each icon had its own color, making it easier to recognize. Also, the Web page doesn't enlarge to match the browser toolbar. Instead, you'll have to use Firefox's built-in zoom feature or download a separate zoom tool to enlarge it.
Despite a few design flaws, this free program is still worth a try for anyone with low vision. It doesn't impact browsing and it could help. We recommend it for users of all skill levels.
