Heretic is a first-person shoot-em-up in the same style as Doom. In fact, it is the prequel to Hexen, which was released commercially for the Macintosh.

This version of Heretic is based on the publicly released code by Raven, and is equivalent to version 1.3 for DOS.

What's new in this version: Worked around some skanky mouse issues with InputSprocket. Details of theproblem and the workaround are in the source code file "mac input.c".� Added a workaround for the age-old color 0/255 problem. On the plus side,color ramps and fades no longer have black spots. On the minus side, thevideo rendering will be a little slower, especially in the high-detail mode.� Added a true "mouse look" ability. You can now easily look up and down viathe mouse or an analog joystick.
