Version: HARDiNFO 2005 Professional 5.01
"Nice presentation, but not fully functionnal"
Pros: The presentation is nice. Basically, it show informations that you can already find in Windows, but all in the same app. Informations shown in the app can be obtained from WMI requests (if i was the programmer, i would remove the CIMV2 in the title bar of the application. It would look more professionnal to the eyes of other programmers :-)).
It's cheap, even if all theses info can be obtained from a simple VB Script that anybody can find on MSDN web site.
Cons: There's some bugs when we swtich to the Operating System tab. The programmer should put some "DoEvents" and delay between each tests if he want to keep using WMI to get all his info, because WMI is slow and to get all the info of the OS from it, he have to let Windows crunch the info if he want to avoid theses "Switch To" / "Retry" dialogs.
I've an Inspiron 9400 (Dual Core 2 Cuo)... there's absolutely no reason why i get this dialog.

Pros: works great for me. I have purchased the enterprise version for work and this for home.

Pros: None
Cons: Programs starts, then crashes. Thinking it was my computer I tried it on a couple others, and it did the same thing, the software is useless, don't waste your time.
