Publisher's Description
From GVWIZ:
Almost everybody have at least once used those small colored sticky notes to write down something important or just leave a message for another person. Absolutely free NoteIT is software that allows you using such sticky notes on your desktop. This program is very small and doesn't need a lot of system resources. After installing and launching it, a special icon will appear in your tray. To create a new note on your desktop simply right-click on this icon and select 'New Note' in pop-up menu. When a new note appears on your desktop you can type any text you like on it. Right-clicking on any note you have created gives you extensive menu with lots of text formatting preferences, like size, style, color, align and many more. Note's appearance also can be customized. For example, you can adjust its color and transparency. Also you can hide all notes by right-clicking on the tray icon and selecting respective items in pop-up menu. Despite NoteIT isn't software with huge functionality, it is a great tool for making extra notes.

Summary
I`m the type of person who uses lots of notes (I use 3 different stick note programs). I gave this one a try, but had to uninstall it. - I`m running Vista basic 32 - I had 2 big problems - First, the right click menu on the tray icon freezes and will not go away until you click on one of it`s items - so, lets say you accidentally bring up the right click menu, there is no way to get rid of it, even if you click on the desktop or anything else - the only way to get rid of it is that you MUST select and click on one of it`s selections (not a good thing) -- Second, if you make a note transparent, there is no way to revert back to opaque - clicking on the transparency button again does nothing - the only way is to click on "make all notes transparent" and then click on it again to turn transparency off (also a bad thing) -- And one small thing -- The notes themselves need a little style - they look a bit too much like childrens blocks. - I think this is a good start but has a way to go to catch up with the better stick notes.
