Broken connections, unwieldy file sizes, and computer crashes--oh, my! The pitfalls facing downloaders are many and varied, so we welcome a program that solves these problems. GetRight extends the ability of your browser's built-in downloading options, and provides useful features such as download scheduling, file segmenting, and error recovery from broken connections.
Once the easy-to-use application is installed, it springs into action when it detects a download from your browser. Because it minimizes to an icon in your system tray, make sure it's actually running when you begin a download. Resuming an interrupted download is as simple as double-clicking the file from the download history. We noticed no appreciable speed gain with segmented downloading over a broadband connection, but dial-up connections should see an increase.
The latest version offers an integrated BitTorrent client that allows file downloads using both BitTorrent and standard Web-based downloading. There's also a games application built in to the app, an unexpected but not unappreciated add-on. At the time of writing, though, the gaming site could only be accessed from the GetRight home page, and not the built-in link.
There are other download managing apps that have encroached on GetRight's turf, and some of them are free. Still, GetRight gets the green light for all users who regularly download files from the Internet.
Publisher's description
From Headlight Software :GetRight extends your file-downloading power by resuming broken downloads and accelerating them to make them faster and more flexible. GetRight now even supports BitTorrent downloads too. It can easily recover from problems such as lost connections and Windows crashing. You can use GetRight to schedule your downloads for later; it can dial your modem at the set time, download the files you want, then hang up or even shut down your computer when it is done. GetRight can use Mirror searching to find other places a file may be downloaded and then use the best site. It also can accelerate a file and download different pieces at the same time to speed up your downloads. GetRight easily manages all your downloads, making it easy to find what you have in progress, and track files you've finished so they don't get lost.
Version 6 adds support for BitTorrent downloads, adds Podcast support to automate downloading files in a RSS feed, adds support for anti-leech.com protected files.

Version: GetRight 6.0a
"Revolutionized the download manager world, but there are better ones now"
Pros: It revolutionized the download manager world. Back 5, 6, 7 years ago, GetRight was the "right" choice. Download Managers were nothing special back then, and if you had GetRight you were no cooler than the next guy who didn't.
Those revolving chain links in the main window showing active progress are the coolest thing in any of the download managers out there.
The originator of the IE-style download window which shows a progress bar split up among all active threads. It is a window which the popular Free Download Manager has added.
It does the job!
Cons: Its not free. Now that FlashGet is free, I really can't recommend GetRight to anyone. I feel FlashGet is the best download manager. GetRight is up there, but FlashGet is free. Free Download Manager is also very good and is FREE.
Now that the idea of download managers is out, everyone is making one, so you have a lot of choices, choices among free ones at that. So if you dont feel like paying, then get FlashGet instead.

Version: GetRight 6.0a
Pros: i was a great fan of flashget , after using this program i have changed my club.
installation size is small , updated and better than before, great speed , you dont have to configure it too much ,most of the settings are already set to their best.
Cons: overall it is a good application but bugging icon in system tray , confusing user interfae are major flaws . Moreover other managers like internet download manager , download accelarator offer more features. morever it not properly compatible with opera 9 .

Version: GetRight 6.0a
Pros: Solid program. Good interface. Many years of modification.
Cons: It is too slow and overbloated. Now it is out of date. Many other programs do the same better. There are much better bittorent downloaders.
