Broken connections, unwieldy file sizes, and computer crashes--oh, my! The pitfalls facing downloaders are many and varied, so we welcome a program that solves these problems. GetRight extends the ability of your browser's built-in downloading options, and provides useful features such as download scheduling, file segmenting, and error recovery from broken connections.
Once the easy-to-use application is installed, it springs into action when it detects a download from your browser. Because it minimizes to an icon in your system tray, make sure it's actually running when you begin a download. Resuming an interrupted download is as simple as double-clicking the file from the download history. We noticed no appreciable speed gain with segmented downloading over a broadband connection, but dial-up connections should see an increase.
The latest version offers an integrated BitTorrent client that allows file downloads using both BitTorrent and standard Web-based downloading. There's also a games application built in to the app, an unexpected but not unappreciated add-on. At the time of writing, though, the gaming site could only be accessed from the GetRight home page, and not the built-in link.
There are other download managing apps that have encroached on GetRight's turf, and some of them are free. Still, GetRight gets the green light for all users who regularly download files from the Internet.

Stable, Easy, Speed limiter, Getright Browser(useful to download stuff from websites)
Cons
Browser integration could have been better(which is solved using third-party addons), Too many configurable options(there could have been an option to change mode from advanced to simple options)

I downloaded this through the finalemusic.com website, which directed me to C-Net, and found that GetRight does NOT work - at ALL - unless purchased and registered. When I tried to use it to download a program from Finale, it did not open, even after I manually clicked and opened it in systray. I had already integrated it with my browser when I installed it, so I tried to add the option to replace the Windows download window with GetRight. When I clicked the button to configure it without registering, it went only to purchasing options. In short, it is not what it promises to be.

It does what every other Downloader does.. "faster" downloading, schedualing, click catching, right click menu added, proxy-mirror-multi download at once, all that good things..it's also free with out limitations
Cons
What made me switch to other downloader is that it looks horrible, the logo is sprayed all over this program, and it just makes me not want to use it. The interface was bulky and bland...
Other programs can do the exact same thing while looking better and being less annoying.

I think Internet Download Accelerator is a little faster,(on my pc anyway). Pcs with different processers might be faster with GetRight, but not mine

I have been using Getright for the last two years. And still it gives me fast file donwloads. I'm using a dial-up connection, and Getright makes my connection DSL-like when downloading files, esp. applications. For me, this is simply the best download manager!
Cons
Some downloads are not caught by Getright. For Firefox users, you need to download the extension "Flashgot". This extension redirects every donwload to Getright (and other donwload managers, if you have them).
