Broken connections, unwieldy file sizes, and computer crashes--oh, my! The pitfalls facing downloaders are many and varied, so we welcome a program that solves these problems. GetRight extends the ability of your browser's built-in downloading options, and provides useful features such as download scheduling, file segmenting, and error recovery from broken connections.
Once the easy-to-use application is installed, it springs into action when it detects a download from your browser. Because it minimizes to an icon in your system tray, make sure it's actually running when you begin a download. Resuming an interrupted download is as simple as double-clicking the file from the download history. We noticed no appreciable speed gain with segmented downloading over a broadband connection, but dial-up connections should see an increase.
The latest version offers an integrated BitTorrent client that allows file downloads using both BitTorrent and standard Web-based downloading. There's also a games application built in to the app, an unexpected but not unappreciated add-on. At the time of writing, though, the gaming site could only be accessed from the GetRight home page, and not the built-in link.
There are other download managing apps that have encroached on GetRight's turf, and some of them are free. Still, GetRight gets the green light for all users who regularly download files from the Internet.
Publisher's description
From Headlight Software :GetRight extends your file-downloading power by resuming broken downloads and accelerating them to make them faster and more flexible. It can easily recover from problems such as lost connections and Windows crashing. You can use GetRight to schedule your downloads for later; it can dial your modem at the set time, download the files you want, then hang up or even shut down your computer when its done. GetRight can use FTP searching to find other places a file may be downloaded and then use the best site. It also can accelerate a file and download different pieces at the same time to speed up your downloads.
Version 5.2b includes bug fixes.

Version: GetRight 5.2b
"GetRight is purely overrated and its features are way exaggerated..."
Pros: 1) Resume; Schedule downloads (Almost all download managers have this function as a basic)
Cons: 1) The interface is disgustingly unattractive (Not too much of a deal) 2) Does not show an increase in speed on a broadband (cable 2mbps) connection 3) I used my cdkey from an older version of GetRight and they said it was a pirated cdkey (are you kidding me!? I paid for GetRight about a year ago) 5) There are other download managers, that are not as overrated and exaggerated, with similar features

"A DM near to the word PERFECTION"
Pros: well.........besides some little bugs...........this is the worlds best (in my opinion) download manager.........I have tried GOZILLA!, Download accelerator Plus (The freaky spyware addicted Download Manager), Internet download manager, netants, and Fresh Download .....but none matches its qualities..........
and I registered especially on the CNET network to post this review about Getrite so download it..............if u want perfection.........
Cons: 1. rarely a bug arrives there when a download is completed and to overcome that one have to rename the file from ".getright" extension to ".exe" extension for the file to work as it is has been completely downloaded.........
2. When v resume a file 20-100 times ...the file gets corrupted especially the large archives of size 75-150MB.....pleez fix it Getright team........!!!

"Faster incase of more mirrors"
Pros: I have a fast adsl connection and when I'm downloading major files from fast servers there is no use for any additional download managers but one great advantage getright has is when you are downloading a major file from a very slow server. I tested downloding a 100mb file with the default download manager from opera and had an average of 3kb/sec, now because getright can contact more mirrors at the same time (if available) in my case the average speed with getright on the same file/server was 16kb/sec. So I only use getright incase of large files on slow servers if there are more mirrors available.
