It's easy to download Flash movies from Internet movie sites. Simply launch the FLV browser, and visit your favorite video site. Select and play a video, and click "download" to save it to your hard drive. It's simple to convert a Flash file to MP4 format, and view it on your iPod. You can also convert movies to AVI, MPEG, 3GP, MOV, and WM formats, without having to wrestle with codecs or external software. After conversion, you can watch your movies on any of your computers or portable devices. Similarly, GetFLV can convert any of these popular movie formats into Flash files.

Pros: There is nothing agood about this software.
Cons: The software freezes almost immediately upon installation of the full version. The creator of the software, Terry Backer, will ignore requests for refunds.
Summary: Please note: the fake "review" by hywavemaster was actually posted by the software's creater, Terry Backer.

Version: GetFLV Pro 8.8.38
"Can download web videos from more and more video site!!"
Pros: This new version 8.8.38 actually works. It currently is able to download more flash video from more sources than any other program I've tried. GetFLV can support Hulu.com, MTV.com, Channel4.com, CMT.com, CBS.com ... It's very cool!!
Cons: The trial version is limited to 20 short downloads.
Summary: GetFLV downloads stuff that most other programs won't download, so that itself is pretty impressive.

"Danger! This program identified as virus."
Pros: It was good at fixing the timing of live flash rips.
Cons: Watch out for this one! Two different virus scanners identified this as a virus or virus carrier. It places a dll in your Windows system directory that carries out its malicious payload.
Summary: Until this program was identified by Vipre as a virus (carrier?) and confirmed by a 2nd source, I thought it was a decent program, not so much for its flash video capture, but for its FLV viewer, which lets you fix up FLV files and fix the time code... read more >>
