Game Launcher allows you to organize all of your PC games in one centralized location. Instead of having icons spread across your desktop, Game Launcher gives you the ability to use life-size box shot images to identify your games. Simply enter the name of the game, choose your box image, and point it to the game's program file (or shortcut). Game Launcher even allows you to add customized audio clips that play when you select or launch a game. Game Launcher automatically adds your most recently launched games as favorites using mini box shot images for quick access.
If you need a better way to keep track of your games, Game Launcher is the solution. Version 1.03 has corrects an installation issue on certain systems.

"Doesn't work on non-English Windows versions!"

Pros
None for me. (I understood that program's authors aren't aware of the existence of non-English Windows versions.)
Cons
On a Portuguese Windows XP it installs on "Programas" folder. When you run it looks for a logo on a nonexistent "Program Files" folder.
Summary
[Workaround] Anyway, if you don't have a "Program Files" folder, you can create one, and install the application there. Then the logo will be properly uploaded.

Updated on Jul 11, 2012It does not work with jar files (JAVA games), neither if you have a exe with a parameter like, "...\dosbox.exe -conf "..."", using an absolute address. Things that work with Windows shortcuts. It's written in Visual Basic 6, so don't expect updates. It should be portable, and i made it portable with Cameyo, ah ah. -

I dunno, i never got it running because it doesn't even know where it installs it's self.
Cons
Kept reporting missing logos from "C:\Program Files\Game Launch". Well, DUH, that's because i didn't install it there.
Summary
This program is in it's very infant stage and needs LOTS of work. I mean, this is the kind of stuff i ran into when using Windows 3.x, not what i was expecting these days.

Pros
This program has a strong visual appeal. It allows a large-display cover image of the game and the wav file audio player is a nice touch for navigating your game collection. The program itself is very simple to use and works well.
Cons
A 64-bit OS user needs to manually change the target install directory from "Program Files (x86)" to "Program Files\GameLauncher" or it won't run correctly.
Support of MP3 files would be nice.
Launching shortcuts is not supported, only executables. -

Pros
Looks good, gets the job done and is reasonably easy to use.
Cons
When searching for files it uses the tree-directory method rather than the Windows Explorer type method... Some of us prefer the latter (I know I do). Only allows JPEG images and WAV sound types; could be a little more liberal.
Summary
It works and is pretty easy to set up as long as you have medium to high experience with computer games (You need to know how to locate the game executable, for example).
It closes itself after launching a game; no need to worry about it using up valuable computer resources.
Could be improved by allowing drag & drop functions; drag a picture onto the picture section to set it. Drag a song onto the sound section to set it. That sort of thing.
And it could also allow mp3 files, since they are much more convenient than wavs.
Otherwise quite a snazzy tool, definitely worthwhile for those of us with games all over the place. -
