If you want to be Wolverine of the X-Men or Bella from the Twilight saga, then this app is for you. Funny Photo Maker from AnvSoft is a free photo editor that lets you crop faces to frames, movie posters, and funny backgrounds. It also allows you to add animation effects to your photos.
The application, once installed, presents an attractive interface that is also easy to understand. A Help file is likewise available to guide the user in the intricacies of the app. What we liked about it is its simplicity. You just pick a photo you want to use, pick the effect you want, view the results, and save for later printing. The software lets you make minor changes in the position of the eyes and mouth for a more natural fit but this isn't a full-service photo editor like Adobe Photoshop so you won't necessarily get perfect results. That said, you also don't have to have any specialized training to use this app. And, despite the imperfections of our test photos, the results were fun and took little time to create.
Funny Photo Maker is aptly named and delivered on its promise. One minor issue we found during the test is that the application installed a desktop icon without permission.

Large collection of templates; seamless integration of user's photos/images with templates; lightning fast preview capability; more intuitive user interface than earlier version.
Cons
Very limited edit capabilities, not well documented; export and saving processes for the finished item are a bit mysterious.
Summary
As a freebie, this is a great item for hand-made novelties, cards and the like. Really good basis for a chuckle, well worth the time needed to experiment and understand its characteristics..

well there are some effects that have designs that you cant add a picture because the effect blocks the face. It has to be a pose of one laying down. Some of the effect are the stars and circle effects.

Large range and collection of photo templates, immediately available as masks around and sometimes over user-supplied portraits.
Lightning fast to apply templates to imoprted images.
Excellent image registration on templates with sharp edges, e.g fitting into a picture frame.
Basic functions are intuitive.
Face detection seems to be automatic half the time, but manual correction is easy.Cons
Really needs more documentation. Art Clip function doesn't seem to work, adding text started with 10 minutes of procedural guesswork.
Template windows have a range of aspect ratios, not documented, and user photos are distorted to fit if you guess wrong.
Face detection seems to break down between templaters sometimes.
Editing capabilities quite limited.Summary
Simple stuff: want someone's face on the side of a truck? On the cover of Vogue as a novelty? Excellent!
For accurate work or editing, use something else. -

Free and easy to use. Anyone should be able to figure it out in 10 or so minutes. Face swap and changing backgrounds is fast and the ability to save them where ever you like. Very cute templates.
Cons
Not enough templates but it is free. Oh yeah, it did freeze up and crash a couple of times, but I got an update and that seemed to fix that.
Summary
This program is kind of limited with the amount of templates but it is free and works very well. Cheers to the developers AnvSoft.

There are a lot of great options leaving lots of room to come up with a variety of well thought out effects. The range of templates are great for kids as well as adults which are slightly and tastefully naughty.

It's easy to edit funny pictures with this little program. I just used a photo of my brother to make a funny a ape picture, he freaked out. Incredibly fun. I love it.
