This space shooter might make a good way to kill a few spare minutes, but its repetitive gameplay and mediocre design prevent it from being a truly engrossing game. If you've ever played an arcade game, chances are you've seen one like Frenesia. You control a spaceship, and your sole goal is to destroy your enemies to earn power-ups and points. One of this program's biggest missteps is you can't play in full-screen mode, making it tough to see both enemy fire and the general action on the screen. The game's graphics are strictly average, though the music does sound a bit more polished. You can choose to adjust the game's volume, but you won't find other features such as the ability to reconfigure the keyboard. We also think the five-use trial period is too short to give most people a good idea of whether Frenesia is worth buying. We've certainly seen worse space-shooting games, but most users can probably find a more attractive alternative.
