Freez Screen Video Capture is a screen capture and screen recording tool to record screen activities and sounds into AVI video files. You can record any part of the screen's activities and the cursor's movements, using a microphone to narrate your screen recordings. You can choose the output video's compressor (such as Microsoft Video 1, MPEG-4, DivX), quality, framerate; the audio's format (such as PCM, ADPCM, MP3, OGG), volume. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: Freez Screen Video Capture 1.2
Pros: It's free, and is easy to use, it isn't designed for pro use though, I think it was designed to make animated gifs easily, and for this task, it's great. You can change aspect ratios and compressors.
Cons: It doesn't record audio, and like I say, it isn't the best screen recorder, but it is the only one I have found that is free.

Pros: Program works unless you click free registration.
Cons: The program asks for registration, and promises that this registration is free.
However, then you will redirected to a site where you have to buy the program - at the end, you are no longer to access the program.
I call this not freeware - this is cheatware.

"It has limits and it not free"
Pros: The software performed fine. Did what its supposed to. Good size. Istalls quickly.
Cons: The software won't start after a several uses. It requires you to register it to continue to use the free version. But AFTER you put in your info. it tells you the free version isn't available because of high site traffic. And the buy only choice is available Now the have your info to email you about stuff they want to sell you. And the supposed "free" software is useless. It's actually wotth buying if you don't mind being dupe in the process.
Has limited encoding capability 3 old encoders and divx.

"Liars! Not Free! Do Not Download!"
Cons: I would use nothing from a company which begins the relationship with deception. Maybe the version they make you buy will have a little deception also, eh?

"Works initially but not Free, WATCH OUT - SCAM"
Pros: Easy to use, captures everything on screen, including mouse movements, screen saver, audio is captured from external speakers, so be very quite!
Cons: Cannot resize the frame, once you let go, it captures it's own foot print, so reposition it before recording.
Its free for about 10 uses.
THEN they say FREE REGISTRATION CODE, GET your email, and name and say, SORRY NOT FREE ANY MORE GOT TO BUY.
If they'd been honest and said Free to Try - I would rate them better.
