The FreeShare Software Suite consists of a client and a server. With the server, an individual, company or institution can set up an online hub where other users, using the FreeShare Client, can engage in meaningful, real-time chat, project collaboration, news reading and posting, and client-to-server file transfers. Servers can be either private or public, depending upon your needs. Based upon the Hotline protocol, and the Openline open source code, the FreeShare Software Suite is similar in functionality to other client-server packages, but boasts an impressive feature set, and an updated GUI, which leaves the older software in the dust.

What's new in this version:

New "User Status" icons introduced to server and client.
Modified some client-to-user error strings.
Fixed bug accidentally introduced whereby splashscreen was still showing, even though user had it disabled in their prefs.
Added new "User Options" button to FreeShare Client Toolbar.
