We see a lot of Flash video downloaders that let you download your favorite videos from YouTube and other Flash video sites so that you can watch them whenever you want. What's not so great, however, is that the average media player is not equipped to handle FLV files. Most of the time, this means that you need another piece of software to convert the files into MPG, WMV, or other video formats so that they can be played by the likes of Windows Media Player. Or you can use a program like Free Sothink FLV Player and play the FLV files without the hassle of converting them.
There's really not much to Free Sothink FLV Player. It's a very basic media player, with the typical controls and the capability to increase the size of the viewer incrementally and to full-screen mode. That's really about it. It plays FLV files easily and without hassle. Unfortunately, it plays FLV files and FLV files only, so you're not going to use it to replace your default media player; you will still need another program to play other types of media files. But if you like to save Flash videos and need a simple way to view them, Sothink FLV Player fits the bill. The program's built-in Help file is brief but adequate.
Free Sothink FLV player is free. The program comes as a zip file but installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.
