CNET Editors' review
You won't find anything new in terms of functionality, but this freeware does give Windows' built-in clock a face-lift. Free Desktop Clock dolls up the standard digital display with a handful of skins and shows the current date and day. You can customize the simple clock settings to perform a variety of functions--such as load at start-up, use a transparent background, display seconds, and use 12-hour format. Moreover, you'll find features to sync your system clock with a couple of atomic clock servers. We like that the atomic server time could be retrieved prior to synchronizing the system clock, and the alarm feature was a definite plus. All in all, you may not be wowed by this freeware, but anyone looking to spice up that boring Windows' clock may find Free Desktop Clock useful.

"Fun Clock Skins"
Version: Free Desktop Clock 2.2
Pros
Lots of different skins. Easy interface. Simple to change.
Cons
Not an Alarm clock.
Summary
This is fun for me. I love to change my theme all the time, so a clock that has changeable skins is a blast! It is so simple to figure out and super easy to change the skin on the clock.

"Very intuitive and simply works"
Version: Free Desktop Clock 2.2
Pros
I like having full date and time info in my task bar and I particularly like the pop up calendar feature instead of reaching for the wall calendar every time I'm trying to schedule something. The alarm feature also works flawlessly.
Cons
Nothing really - perhaps too many skins to make a decision easily, but to each his own. If they weren't there I'd be complaining there weren't enough.
Summary
There's not a lot more I can say. I've been using it for a few weeks and can't fault it. It's still on my system and I don't see any reason to remove it in the near future unlike a lot of freeware I've used which usually disappear before a week's end.
That says a lot in my view. -
"Useful but limited"
Version: Free Desktop Clock 2.2
Pros
It's nice having the day, date and time right there. Easy to read.
Cons
Very limited. They show you a list of skins you can use but only if you buy the expensive "premium" version.
Summary
Depends. Take it at face value or leave it.

Version: Free Desktop Clock 2.2
Pros
Displays today's date along with the time on the Windows clock.
Flexible display, with wide choice of skins.
Very small, doesn't consume a lot of resources.Cons
I couldn't find a default skin that matches default XP colors & fonts -- personally, I'd like it to blend in seamlessly.
