You won't find anything new in terms of functionality, but this freeware does give Windows' built-in clock a face-lift. Free Desktop Clock dolls up the standard digital display with a handful of skins and shows the current date and day. You can customize the simple clock settings to perform a variety of functions--such as load at start-up, use a transparent background, display seconds, and use 12-hour format. Moreover, you'll find features to sync your system clock with a couple of atomic clock servers. We like that the atomic server time could be retrieved prior to synchronizing the system clock, and the alarm feature was a definite plus. All in all, you may not be wowed by this freeware, but anyone looking to spice up that boring Windows' clock may find Free Desktop Clock useful.

Version: Free Desktop Clock 2.2
Pros: i have spent at least 2 hrs(searching through all the diff clocks) to find this (FREE) version..it works well no problems.
it does what it is supposed to nothing more it changes the style of the system tray clock.
Cons: if you change it to 12hr it looks like this
03:15pm when it should look like this 3:15pm just a slight inconvenience as it is free.

Version: Free Desktop Clock 2.2
Pros: does date, day of week. small enough. (you have to actually display the system clock to get it to start.)
Cons: i dont care about skins, personally, so that's a waste of (a small amount of) space to me.
I'd like it even smaller (but still readable).

Version: Free Desktop Clock 2.2
Pros: I liked the choice of skins but some skins have their numerals too dark that you almost couldn't read them. If a person is unsure how to adjust their time just click on the clock and look under options and click on adjust and click on atomic time and go from there. The internet will take care of the rest.
Cons: I wish this program would offer more skins to the user but nevertheless it does have a lot of skins that appeal to the youth and the young at heart. It doesn't really offer how you want to view your date setup locally -ie. instead of displaying "3 Feb" it could of offered you to change it to "Feb 3" and have the option of adding in the year as well.
