This utility lets you mark folders by priority (high, normal, low), level of project completeness (done, half-done, planned) and type of information stored in them (work, important, temp and private files). With Folder Marker folder icons can be changed ON THE FLY from the right-click menu of a folder. Simply right-click on the folder, select a color-coded icon and it will be assigned to the folder at once.

"It's doing it's job, but can really mess up."

Can mess up icons really bad after uninstalling.
It not restors the system default icons.Summary
It's doing it's job. Got really nice colours to choose from. It's really fast to customize folder icons.
But it can really mess up system folder icons and default colour after uninstallation. Folders start behave strange, for example after double click on a folder it opens a Windows Search Companion instead of it's content, and colours can't be changed to their defaults. I recommend this solution to everyone that has that kind of problems after uninstalling this program:

Summary
I miss this program. I recently got Win7 and this is one of the programs that doesn't work with Win7. Hopefully they will update it so it does. Oddly, the folders that I had marked on my old hard drive are still marked in Win7 but I can't mark new ones. The option does not appear in the right click menu.

allows for changing of the folder icon. 20 supplied icons to identify projects as stated in description. add 10 icons of your own or from windows to accent your folders. can make certain icons the system standard for all similar icons (i.e. folders). works fine in the 20 minutes I used it. very easy to use. 2 step process, locate folder, locate icon. click apply.
Cons
none so far. maybe be able to add more personalized icons and allow to add more from your own (limit is about 10).
