This screensaver wins our praise for its high level of configurability and pleasing 3D design, but owners of older computers may encounter turbulence. After launching Flight Simulator Screensaver, several F/A-16 jets zoom across the screen, accompanied by the roar of their engines. The 3D graphics and terrain looked quite good for the most part, though the sky didn't render properly on a low-end graphics card. We were impressed with the number of customization options. For example, you can change the sky color, the camera angle, and the terrain, and you also can select how many clouds and trees appear in the scene. In addition, you can add your favorite MP3s to create a custom soundtrack. Assuming they have a modern PC, aviation enthusiasts and flight-simulator fans should find this screensaver an appealing download.

I expect to see height in feet above sea level, not alien metres and speed in knots ( = 1.15 miles an hour.)

Clear detailed graphics. Smooth running. Optional view selection. Easy understood help screen on key/command definitions. Good selection of setup options and controls for a time unlimited trail version download.
Runs and looks great on a 22 in widescreen,1.2GHz processer, Radeon 9600 pro/256mb video.

Pitch of jet sound is flat. It does not vary with ascent/descent.
Screensaver locked up one time while exceeding mach I.
Pitch control sluggish and limited on manual control of jet.
No rudder control available.
The ground graphics could use some moving objects like autos, ships, windmill generators etc.
