This small, swift program makes searching files and programs a breeze. Find and Run Robot's interface is plain but easy to follow with a single field for typing in your search string. Find and Run Robot's real-time approach promptly delivers results as soon as you begin typing. Search results are numbered and automatically sorted using built-in scoring systems unique to the program. What's really cool is you can type the number of any document in the search field and it immediately opens. The program can be called out of hiding using the Pause/Break key or through a user-specified hot key. A history of documents launched directly by the program is under the Launch History tab. This handy freeware search engine will appeal to any user who wants quicker results and more flexibility than the Windows-standard search tool offers.Publisher's description
From DonationCoder :Find and Run Robot is a program for keyboard maniacs. It helps you rapidly find programs or documents from within the depths of the start menu (or other directories). One key press launches the utility, and then just starts typing the first letters of the application you want to launch. As you type the best matches are shown, just hit the number to launch the associated program.

"So far so good. I am the original "dummy"! More later!"
Pros: Love the 'finder' part! Still working on the 'run' part!
Cons: Too complicated! lacks simplicity in search parameter explanations. Nooeds more 'KISS'.
Summary: Fast but a bit overwhelming at first! Only used it briefly in my research but still trying to figure out better approaches. Any help I can get please!

Pros: Worked out of the box.
Remembers and prioritizes previous selections.Cons: Bit of a learning curve to figure out it's options (there are a lot).
Prefers to use a special update application. Disabled, will use Download.Com notification of updates.Summary: Works. Staying on my Vista system as a base application.

Pros: Unobtrusive, very quick and it works 90% of the time. Not flashy, but gets the job done.
Cons: None yet, have been using it only a week so far.
Summary: I have been using "Start Ease" for years (Which is offered by PC World) and it has done a decent job. I rate Start Ease as 6 on a on a scale of 1 to 10. So far, Find and Run Robot 2.30.01, gets an 8 out of 10.

"More than a bit of over-reaching."
Pros: A good idea, but not yet what I'd like to see.
Cons: Too many responses with not enough discrimination as to file-types/actions.
Summary: I couldn't use it and uninstalled it.
