CNET Editors' review
Rich in Web content, short on cash? This free, open-source FTP application is handy if you're looking for a solid tool to handle FTP transfers and don't want to part with your bucks.
The straightforward interface offers translations in most of the world's major languages. Caching directories speeds up browsing FTP sites, and multiple secure connection options ensure that you can move files around without concern. Bookmarking comes in two flavors: the Site Manager for all your major FTP locations, and QuickConnect for fast switching on the fly.
The program lets you download or upload multiple files at once from and to several servers. If your bandwidth is somewhat limited, you'll appreciate a feature that lets you automatically adjust transfer speeds based on the time of day or date. FileZilla also lets you browse FTP sites mid-transfer. The lack of a task scheduler is compensated for, in our eyes, by a powerful filter so you only see the files you need.
FileZilla is no monster, either, eating up a manageable 50 MB in memory. Clearly, this is one of the best FTP tools around.

Pros

Summary
I took a class to develop websites about 12 years ago. I really enjoyed it and created my own. After about 2 years I got busy with other things and forgot about it. I decided to go back to it and start redesigning it. I found this on google and decided to try it. It was easy to download and install. The only reason I said it's fairly easy to use is I had forgotten how to set up the FTP client so I had to google some tutorials. So it's not an issue with FileZilla, it's more that if you're a novice you may have to do a little research to get it going. I've only done a few files but have had no issues with it.

Summary
I have been using Filezilla for almost 5 years now and have found it to be a wonderful program and best of all: free. Using the reconnect button always pops me into my website for easy windows-like file transfer. Never had a connect issue (unless my caps-lock was on) or any other. There is an option to swap local and remote windows in case you're like me and feel they are backwards by default.

"Does the job for me."
Version: FileZilla 3.5.3
Pros
I maintain three web sites, will soon add a fourth and possibly a fifth. FZ has done the job for me from Day One -- simple (I'm experienced but not an expert), intuitive (although getting through the first upload took a little fumbling, but no prob after that), easily updated, not a resource hog, free -- what's not to like?
Cons
Nothing I've found.
Summary
I have FZ installed on three computers and recommend it to friends and family who need FTP software.

"Can't find file folders in Documents or sub folders."
Version: FileZilla 3.5.3
Pros
Easy to sign on with. That's it because the Cons outweigh any other advantage
Cons
As the title says you cannot locate some folders in your computer's My Document, these just don't show up in Filezilla. You go to a folder that does appear. After opening this folder to locate another folder contained within and some of the folders low and behold don't exist. Either way if you can't get to a file in the "invisible" folders the FTP program is useless.
Makes the program worthless. Is it worth my time to go through documentation to find out why this occurs? No. If the above glitch occurs because I have a file open in that folder, then the program is still useless.
I would give a half star if I could.Summary
Don't waste your time downloading. Some My document folders (and sub-folders which the folders that do appear)are just not there.
