Rich in Web content, short on cash? This free, open-source FTP application is handy if you're looking for a basic tool to handle FTP transfers and don't want to part with your bucks.
The straightforward program interface offers translations in most of the world's major languages. Caching directories speeds up browsing FTP sites. The only thing we found missing is bookmarks for quickly switching among FTP locations.
The program lets you download or upload multiple files at once from and to several servers. If your bandwidth is somewhat limited, you'll appreciate a feature that lets you automatically adjust transfer speeds based on the time of day or date. FileZilla also lets you browse FTP sites even while you're transferring files. However, you won't find a task scheduler to automate transfers. To transfer sensitive information, the program supports the secure protocol SFTP.
Overall, FileZilla is a good tool that will suffice for managing smaller sites.

Pros: Clear. Multi-window format = plenty of info about what's going on. You can save regular connections, & customizei t easily.
Cons: Took me a little while to work out how to use it in the first place - like so many programs, the Help could be a bit clearer.

"More than I thought for a freeware"
Pros: It gives the most important features you need in an FTP client software.
Interface is straightforward easy to use.
It is FOC-free.
Cons: The interface looks like a C++ out of the oven application done by a very busy person who needed the software for him/her-self at first.
Does not support multiple windows.
No tooltips for the buttons, instead, the desciption is located at the lower left corner at the status bar.
Cannot find anything else, the software is great.

"Brilliantly easy but powerful!"
Pros: After about a week of heavy use of this program, I've found that it's one of the few good, free FTP clients available today. With a clean, simple drag-and-drop interface, it's perfect for aspiring webmasters. I had so much fun playing around with it that my Tripod account got blocked for excessive uploading!
Cons: The only slight problem with this application is the bit of a learning curve required for advanced operations, but generally speaking it's wonderful.

Pros: Very easy to set up. Worked immediatly. Configuration was easy and straight forward.
Cons: The messages in the status window scroll out immediatly. If you need to see them you have to scroll them back in.
