CNET Editors' review
Rich in Web content, short on cash? This free, open-source FTP application is handy if you're looking for a basic tool to handle FTP transfers and don't want to part with your bucks.
The straightforward program interface offers translations in most of the world's major languages. Caching directories speeds up browsing FTP sites. The only thing we found missing is bookmarks for quickly switching among FTP locations.
The program lets you download or upload multiple files at once from and to several servers. If your bandwidth is somewhat limited, you'll appreciate a feature that lets you automatically adjust transfer speeds based on the time of day or date. FileZilla also lets you browse FTP sites even while you're transferring files. However, you won't find a task scheduler to automate transfers. To transfer sensitive information, the program supports the secure protocol SFTP.
Overall, FileZilla is a good tool that will suffice for managing smaller sites.

"Easy enough even for me to use"
Version: FileZilla 2.2.13a
Pros
It's simple and intuitive, makes FTP and site maintenance easy even for the less geek-inclined like myself. Well worth a try if you have a small site with multiple pages

"Did everything i needed it to.."
Version: FileZilla 2.2.13a
Pros
easy fast connect to your last ftp session at startup. fast speed. easy to work with interface. decent amounts of options. not a trial. it's free!
Cons
nothing so far. i've tried several of the so-called 'free' ftp managers from this site, and they all charge a fee after like 50 transfered files, or 30 days. this is a full-featured, full version program at no cost whatsoever, and it did what others failed to do. i love it a lot!

The program has a clean interface and it's very easy to customize what you want to see and what you dont.
Cons
Cannot really think of any.

"Works Splendid"
Version: FileZilla 2.2.13a
Pros
Due to connecting problems with SmartFTP, I had to find an other FTP program. Because of big size and positive reviews I decided to give FileZilla a try. I downloaded FilaZilla from his website and it installs and uninstalls easy. I never have had a better FTP program than FileZilla, because it has all the functions you need, is fast and works splendid.

"Simply the best FTP Browser"
Version: FileZilla 2.2.13a
Pros
I tried almost all FTP Browsers out there and this one is by far the best one. It's fast, easy to use and it can always resume broken uploads.

"Nice Interface. Easy to use. User Friendly."
Version: FileZilla 2.2.13a
Pros
This program Remembers the connections that you have entered so you can connect to them quickly later. If FTPing to a site fails, it tells you why. And of course its a drag and drop interface so that I don't have to memorize FTP Commands.

"Works well and has an intuitive UI. Only "complaints" are really wishlist items"
Version: FileZilla 2.2.13a
Pros
Based on initial usage, FileZilla is cleaner, faster to start up, and less of a memory hog than SmartFTP, the other ftp client that I have tried. I haven't tried any of the GUI ftp clients that cost money, but for my small site, I can't see why I ever would.
Cons
The main window is a little busy, but I can't suggest how to improve on this -- I want to see everything that's displayed.
Wishlist items: (1) Files from a subdirectory on local machine should upload to the corresponding subdirectory on the host site, but they don't, unless you first explicitly change directories on the host machine. (2) There should be a way to scan the whole host site for files that are older than the files in the tree on the local machine. It's possible that there is (I haven't read all of the help files yet), but if so, it's not obvious how to do this.
