From Stardock :Fences is a revolutionary new program that lets users clean up their desktop icons in moments. Users draw "fences" on their desktop which enables users to drag and drop icons into them. Users can have fences show and hide by double-clicking on the desktop. In addition, users can control which icons show and hide when the desktop is double-clicked on allowing for easy desktop clean-up.
What's new in this version:
Version 0.99 fixes expiration, features multi-monitor improvements, and improved Win7 comparability.

"Love it. Have been waiting for something like this."
Pros: Ease of use and it works like it says it will.
Cons: Nothing at all.

"this program. keeps the desktop uncluttered.I give it 4"
Pros: it works great.... easy to use...
Cons: when logging in the fences do not maintain stability and all the icons are jumbled until the fences program takes over. while this is not really a problem it does appear a bit messy for the few seconds that it takes for the fences program to kick in.
Summary: all in all I like fences as it allows me to maintain order on my desktop,,, without covering up my wallpaper of Shakira....

Pros: It worked at first.
Cons: But quit working after a month, Then you have to download a bunch of garbage to TRY to get Fences.

"Keeps the desktop clear, crisp and clean."
Pros: Flexibility.
Cons: Let me see.....
Summary: Because you are able to put your icons where you want them how you want them, it is much easier to keep your computer performing as it should.

"Makes for a clean desktop and organizes shortcuts."
Pros: Makes it easy to organize shortcuts in groups and hide them when not needed.
Cons: Nothing really. I did run out of space due to my numerous shortcuts but there is only so much ground available.
Summary: Think it is a very good program. As said before, I ran out of space due to the numerous shortcuts that I have on the desktop but the only answer to that, I guess, is to try to reduce the number of my shortcuts unless you can come up with an alternat... read more >>
