From Stardock :Fences is a revolutionary new program that lets users clean up their desktop icons in moments. Users draw "fences" on their desktop which enables users to drag and drop icons into them. Users can have fences show and hide by double-clicking on the desktop. In addition, users can control which icons show and hide when the desktop is double-clicked on allowing for easy desktop clean-up.

"I love it, decluters abd organizes my desk top"
Pros: very easy to work
I love the look of an empty screenCons: sometimes interfers with Google desktop, nothing that a reboot won't fix

"Surptisingly helpful visual organizing utility"
Pros: Took what I had been trying to do all along-cluster icons according to a relation and formalized it .Took about 10 minutes to figure out all the quirks .. Using the icon hide feature made room for some other desktop utils-clock-link manager-gadgets
Cons: Had a problem organizing icons within a fence - figured out to remove them from the fence and re-insert to get the desired line up. Had anticipated coloring the fences differently but was not an option. Don't see a save or a lock.
