Using FTP can be complicated and confusing. FTP Voyager cleans up the mess with its blend of performance and ease of use, dressed in a familiar Windows Explorer-style interface and loaded with features. On the feature front, FTP Voyager supports Secure Shell (SSH) access, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connections, and folder synchronization. A handy scheduler lets you automate transfers.

The interface is fully customizable, with a grab bag of options. The most notable tweak is Simple Mode, which limits the number of visible features and swaps out the small, cramped toolbars with one larger, more universal one. The view menu lets you toggle between Simple Mode and FTP Voyager's normal interface. Overall, FTP Voyager is a well-balanced FTP client that offers excellent features for professional users while maintaining ease of use for novices.

FTP Voyager is a powerful FTP client program for Windows. FTP Voyager's familiar, Windows Explorer-like interface is easy to use for newbies and FTP veterans alike. Using its intuitive drag-and-drop interface, FTP Voyager lets you update a Web site with a single click, transfer files directly between FTP servers, resume interrupted downloads, and perform advanced file searches while doing other FTP tasks.

The included FTP Site Profile Manager comes preloaded with lots of popular FTP sites, and adding your own FTP sites is easy. You can even import your FTP sites from many other FTP applications. Another useful feature, FTP Scheduler, allows you to schedule all of your routine tasks, including uploading, downloading, synchronizing, and deleting files and/or folders. You can also queue your downloads for later (see screenshots), and FTP Scheduler will even dial your Internet connection for you.

FTP Voyager now includes transfer panes, Smart Reconnect, dial on demand, and browser integration. The new version also allows you to move files, customize your user interface, and set advanced file-filtering parameters.
