For a piece of freeware in a category that's rife with scams and junk, FLVPlayer4Free stands out as a solid, reasonable program that does what it says, offers a bunch of options in the deal, and does it all without annoying predatory advertising.
The program starts off with eight skins, most of which provide significantly different looks beyond just a new coat of paint. The options menu, which is only right-click accessible, provides hot-key and menu access to several useful choices. These include fixed resizing to double the original size or full-screen viewing, maintaining the aspect ration, smoothing, nearly 20 languages, and rollover hints. It also has a built-in screencapper.
The app is not without its flaws, though. When installing, users must opt out of downloading a video-format converter made by the same publisher and the URL downloader doesn't work with YouTube. Still, the player is light on resources and generally performs as promised.

Pros: light weight!
Cons: The quick time mov format is not supported and this may add some shadows about supporting other formats such as RM and RA
Summary: I don't like it because I thought that I got fooled by downloading it because I downloaded it due to I needed player mov format but less in weight that Apple Quick time. I uninstalled it immediately.

"The better of 2 FLV players (FLV2.0.25)."
Pros: The better player between FLV 2.0.25...provides different screen sizes
Cons: Still a stand-alone whereas win7codecs allows for the playing of FLV files from within Windows Media Player.
Summary: Get Win7codecs instead.

"Nothing Else Approaches FLVPlayer4Free"
Pros: Elegant: It Does What It Says, And Takes Up Little Space On Your Drive. When I Did Have Questions, The Support Was Top-Notch. Simply A Pleasure To Use.
Cons: No Problem, No Botheration. It Does Make You Dissatisfied Why Others Are Not Better Than They Are.
