This simple application lets you easily change the extension of a single file or multiple files within a folder, though it offers little else in the way of features or capabilities. Extension Changer offers two ways to change file extensions. Open the program and drag and drop files or folders into a small inset box under the Main tab, fill in the new extension, and press Change. The easier method is to right-click on files and folders and select Edit the extension. Your document or folder is already displayed and you need only type the new extension. Changes were immediately applied. Desktop and Start menu shortcuts aren't automatically added, but since the program is so easily available when it's needed, this isn't a problem. A simple tool is offered to search for more information on extensions. This utility is easy to use, does exactly what it says, and is offered free of charge.Publisher's description

"Well done so simple yet so brilliant"
Pros: Fantastic I use this to change the extensions of flv files to avi then use the xvid fourcc changer to change it so it works. you can check descriptions of file extentions from the fileext.com database al over great little program.
Cons: no enough people know about it!! download it no doubt someday you'll need it and there it is sitting in your right click menu.

Cons: Well, it just changes it, and that's it.. Nothing else happens, it can't open the file anywhere else.. It's like it only changed the name!
Summary: Well, everything in the cons is said.. It didn't help me much, I changed from extension file .006 [Because I tried EVERYTHING, and nothing would open that file, but I thought this would work..] to AVI. Then from AVI to MP4. It didn't work on Windows... read more >>
