"Good but not free like some people are saying!"

Pros
I use ad-aware mainly, however this program found a few ads that ad-aware didn`t and got rid of an annoying startup ad!. That said i think if i installed spy doctor, im sure that would also find more as these programs alone, never seem to get them all.
Cons
I think the downside is that all of these programs seem to miss bits here and there.
Also a lot of people are saying its free! Its a 2 week Demo! then you must pay, its not a con of the program though, i just wanted to make this clear.

"Great Addition to Malware Prevention"

I downloaded version 3.5 from the Ewido Site and was very impressed with the scanner. The fast scan took less than 10 minutes and the complete system scan took less than an hour but found tracking cookies for other users on my pc which none of the others found. I have several anti-malware programs and like to run them all because none of them finds everything. This program is free and is a nice addition to my pc. On the Ewido web site they even have a compatibility chart to be sure this will run with your existing programs and it will with most. There is a beta verion 4.0 available thru their website which will probably improve on a already good program.

Upgrade if you like the real-time shield for its famous anti-trojan feature. I simlpy use for free as a weekly trojan scanner. Nice and quick. Worth a try.

I Went to every dangerous site I could possibly find and downloaded all the spy-ware I could possibly find.
When I was finished, my computer was still spy-ware free.
The Ewido Anti-Spyware gaurd is simply dominant. I recommend it to anyone.
Few people, while using Ewido Anti-Malware, could get their computer infected if they tried.
Downlaod the latest version of the Ewido Website.
Cons
It wont do my laundry either.

"Worked all DAY on husbands PC installed EWIDO and like magic it's gone!"

My husbands computer was infeted with the nasty Zlob DownLoader Trojon (wininet.dll was it's carrier) and please note that .dll is other wise harmless, and it was not even detected but through few anti-virus/spyware/malware programs. I did every thing for hour upon hour to remove it. I even went in manually to extract the monster with no luck. THEN, like a blessing from above sent to my rescue there it was.....***EWIDO*** I am so happy I ran across this. I came into C-Net today looking because I never use anything rarely in my PC unless it's first ran through C-Net, and sure enough here is this lovely program. I give it all the stars in the sky because I read the forums and how all these techs from Hijack want you to use these lenthy processes. Not with this BABY she takes it out :-).

One thing I did find out the uninstaller was left behind and when I ran the free version of AVG located in C-Net :-) it took that away too. WOOT

After the free trial is over, it's available for FREE as a stand alone scanner which can be used to detect and remove malware, spyware, etc. Free updates have to be done manually. It catches and removes malware/spyware that my other free and paid anti-spyware products don't detect. It is party of my free anti-spyware army: Spybot S&D, A-Squared, Ad-Aware SE, Spyware Blaster and CCleaner.
Cons
It's not worth $30. If it were $10 to $15 then I would buy it if it added a few extra functions that the free version doesn't have.

It has a nice, professional interface. You can run it for free during 14 days.
Cons
Takes up alot of memory and missed a backdoor virus that shows up on HijackThis but I'm having trouble cleaning. On this point alone, I can't recommend it.

Scan is deep. Found 1 medium risk malware, missed by others.
Cons
It conflicts with Norton Internet Security. Had to do a reg restore, happened twice. Backup before using!!!!I sent this to program "heaven or hell". Be careful what you do with default install. Search "virus & &ecurity" and "help" forums at CNET before install.

I can only speak to my experience which is this seems to be a good thorough product - enough so that I paid for it. I am not, so far, experiencing the excessive use of resources during scans that was mentioned in the cnet review.
I believe the latest version, 3.5, is now called Anti-Mal-ware.
Cons
Could use help files and perhaps a bit more intuitive interface to assist us non-computing professionals Hardly huge problems.

Easy unstall and uninstall. I downloaded and installed ewido version 3.5 from their website and I think this version is a big difference from version 3, because negative comments are no longer applicable. Ewido anti malware 3.5 is probable the best anti trojan and fights also against spyware. It has a big database of more than 300.000 threats and Ewido is a strong complement for software like AVG Free, Sygate Personal Firewall, Ad-Aware SE Personal and RootkitRevealer.
Cons
The freeware version has no active shield and no automatic updates. The rest is the same as the paid version.
