Although some features don't work, this freeware clipboard replacement allows users to record a maximum of 20 text items. Envolk Clipboard's neatly designed and comprehensible interface is novice friendly. The application automatically detects text cut or copied to the clipboard. It neatly places the items separately into 1 of 20 easily viewed fields. Each item is flanked by buttons to easily copy, delete, or view the content.

The program's clipboard viewer makes it easy to modify any saved item. Useful features let you keep selected items on top, or easily clear them from the list. However, the function to lock an item on the list often failed in our tests. Another inconvenience was the inability to resize the applications window. Any user looking for a more flexible text clipboard manager will do well to give this freeware a test.

A software program that captures and holds the last 20 clipboard text items. File size 272 KB, version 1.0.0.46, for Windows 98SE, NT4.0, 2000, ME, XP, Vista. The following prerequisites are required from Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, Windows Installer 3.1. Instructions: save to desktop or folder, unzip, double click setup.exe. To uninstall go to start, control panel, add or remove programs and click change/remove, then select remove. Notice: no spyware, cookies, or adware.

Version: Envolk Clipboard 1

"installation failed"

Pros: Nothing to say.

Cons: Downloaded it from Envolk web site. Unzipped the file and ran setup.exe. Installation failed on fully updated XP system. Decided to delete software from computer. Deletion not permitted as some process was still using files. Re-booted and deleted. So much for that!
