The intuitive training and spam-sorting features of Ella for Spam Control make it a welcome addition to any in-box. Ella works like most other spam killers, moving any messages it thinks are worthless to a spam-only mailbox. What makes Ella unique, however, is the way it learns what messages you want. There are no lengthy whitelists or blacklists to build. The software simply learns by watching the way you sort your mail, analyzing more than 100 attributes, including sender, message route, and content type. The software's training wizard is also helpful for getting a jump-start on defining the type of messages you want. Although resorting messages once Ella has classified them could be a bit easier, this tool is a great add-on for anyone using Outlook or Outlook Express.Publisher's description

Version: Ella for Spam Control 1.5.6
Pros: I haven't had anything go into folders that it wasn't supposed to go into. Never had any good mail end up in junk folder. With ANY spam filter, one should ALWAYS check the junk folder...even the best filters will have mail go in there unless you teach it to recognize what is junk and what's not...mind you, any crap this program thought as probable was correctly filtered into the 'maybe'folder. The buttons that are color-coded are there for a reason! Use them!

Version: Ella for Spam Control 1.5.6
Pros: It works well at first.
Cons: Then you have non-stop pop ups that urge to upgrade. It also leaves a signature advertisement on all your outgoing mail. and then it finally stops catching spam but the pop-ups continue.

Version: Ella for Spam Control 1.5.6
Pros: Easy to set up. After the first day or so it is very accurate. Also you don't have to deal with black lists and white lists and constant updating. So far it hasn't put any good mail in the spam folder.
Cons: Occasionally spam slips into the inbox, but not very often.
