If you're into pay-for-use screensavers, it's hard to imagine that there's a better looking one around than Dream Aquarium. Limited to only two fish species in the trial version, the full version sports 18 species for all you ichthymaniacs out there. However, there are no other handicaps, and users can take advantage of the well-drawn and well-animated options for everything from oxygen bubbles to tank background to the camera and animation speed.
There's some neat additional controls, as well: Users can feed the fish, and they can change the animation from 3D-renderings to wireframe. Our most recent XP tests didn't see the flickering we noticed in past past evaluations, though such flickering was noted during tests on Vista machines, indicating that there may be a coding issue and not a graphics card concern. Nevertheless, this is still a screensaver that's sure to relax and entertain.

Version: Dream Aquarium Screensaver 1.04
Pros: I love this. The Most realistic aquarium I have seen. Great details, and the Animations capture the behavior of real fish.
Cons: The only thing I don't like is having to pick between this and Marine Aquarium 2. This recreates the little idiosynchratic movements of the fish better, but I want a saltwater tank. What can an old cheapskate do?

Version: Dream Aquarium Screensaver 1.04
"A nice, soothing, realistic screensaver"
Pros: It is a very well detailed screen saver. Its animations are very lifelike and detailed.
Cons: Its a screensaver. Of all customization options, the screensaver is not high on priority, so its good to just use this and be done with it.

Version: Dream Aquarium Screensaver 1.04
"Wonderful for everybody. You cant help but love it."
Pros: Beautiful tropical fish, you can pick 5 from about 10 or duplicate one you really like. The colors, details in the background, just the best saver I have ever seen, other then my Q45, but it's gone. Dont miss at least trying it out. But you will buy it as you wont want to give it up.
