Though this quirky program lets you create and display prank messages on your desktop, it's light on assistance. Getting up and running is the first hurdle. Right-clicking DrWindows' system tray icon brings up a mini menu that doesn't let you into the program. The help file reveals that to access the small interface, you'll need to hit Ctrl and right-click the tray icon, and an additional option to configure settings is then offered. Once you're in, the program comes with 56 amusing dialogs that mimic standard Windows messages, complete with icons and sound effects. It can be set to begin at start-up and display at specific time intervals or with a user-defined hot key. Although it claims that you can create your own messages, its help file doesn't provide guidance on how to do so. In the end, DrWindows' tricky scheme injects some good, clean humor into those dreary workdays free of charge.Publisher's description

"yes i am a warped person and find this funny"
Pros: being a prankster from way back, i find this a very excellent program for some "harmless fun". it does not include any harmfull side effects to the pc. so if you do not have a SENSE of HUMOR like the other reviewer seems not have, don't download, or download for someone else.
Cons: none what so ever.

"Anyone who downloads this should be banished from the planet earth."
Pros: None. Theres absolutely nothing positive that comes out of this program.
Cons: The people who made this software are wasting the time of users, the time of download.com editors, the time of tech support people and their own time. WHY IN GODS NAME WOULD YOU WANT TO CREATE FAKE ERROR MESSAGES? To make tech support people even BUSIER? Did the developers lose their jobs to outsourcing to something? Why do people make such STUPID programs. This program should be removed from EVERY software site that lists it.
