DopeWars is a game in which the objective is to make money through buying and selling illicit narcotics. There are eight types of drugs and six locations. At each location, five to seven drugs will be commodities. At the beginning of the game, you have a small amount of cash, an empty savings account, and a sizable debt to a loan shark. Police officers, money troubles, and market forces make this strategy game a challenge.
Version 2.4.6 forces the DopeWarsDB file to be backed up to the PC during a HotSync operation.
Note: This program is intended for mature audiences only.

Pros
You buy and sell drugs, run from cops (or shoot them), deal with loan sharks, and retire to the Caribbean. All for free.
Cons
None, maybe besides the source code for 2.4.6 is almost nonexistent nowadays.
Summary
If you have (or had) a palm pilot and have not played this game, you may be lying about the former.

No bugs during game play that I can find.
Cons
fringe bug, if you switch to another program with on your last day in the game, when you come back, you will go into negative days. Simple stated, the game won't end until you end it. I made several Billion dollars before I became bored with it.
Summary
great time waster. I play it when waiting in line at various places.

If there was only one game I could have, It would be DopeWars. Matthew Lee's 2.3 game was great. Michael Hallett's 2.4.6 only makes it better. It's a game that you can play for a few minutes or hours and it's a different game every time. It's very addicting, you think you can can do better the next time you play and that's not always the case. Try it, if you don't like it then don't play it or delete it. Either way it doesn't matter because it's FREE. What's not to like about this game? It's so simple to play but yet so hard to win and for a few minutes out of your day you can make a little money and retire a millionaire in the Caribbean.

"An Old Telnet game."

Pros
Remember the days of local online Bulletin Boards and the "door" games like this? Simple trading game, you can finished the whole thing in 30 turns, and you don't have to fight the police or pay back the loan shark. The old game was longer.
Cons
You have to keep track of what you paid for items in your head, and remember your profit margin through all neighborhoods. Other "trading" games at least keep up with either what you paid for the goods, or the profit or loss at each new location.

Who wouldnt want to become a millionaire in 30 days! Watch out, the cops are really heavy around Coney Island and the Bronx. Sometimes I hit it big (131 Million once), sometimes I get my legs broke.

This game is fun and addictive...!! Ive never sold drugs..butplaying this game I only sell to the highest bidder...Cops always chasing me...And I keep gettin my legs broken....LMAO!!! I enjoy this game...Once it expires I will be makin a purchase...I hope they come out with another version....
